National Young Film Critic of the Year Awards 2010

The 2010 National Young Film Critic of the Year was announced at an award ceremony at BAFTA on the 19th October. The ceremony is a major event, which is recognised throughout both the feature film and the press communities and took place during National Schools Film Week, a festival where nearly 500,000 school children attended free screenings and events at their local cinemas across the UK.
The winners were:
Age 4-7 Category - Sidni Brener of Valley Road Primary School in Henley on Thames for his pictorial review of Toy Story 3.
Age 7-11 Category - Harmony Rose Bremner of St Mary's RC Primary School in Edinburgh for her review of The Illusionist.
Age 11-14 Category - Ania Magliano of Wycombe Abbey School in High Wycombe for her review of It's a Wonderful Afterlife
Age 15-19 Category - Katie Snow of Exeter College, Exeter for her review of The Orphanage.
The award ceremony was hosted by Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere. The winner of the Age 15-19 Category, Katie, won the opportunity to write for Empire Magazine as part of her prize.
