PREMEIRE JAPAN 2010 @ BAFTA

Premiere Japan 2010 will, for the sixth consecutive year, screen the best and most recent films to come out of Japan selected by the world-renowned East Asian film critic, Tony Rayns, and film scholar and critic, Alexander Jacoby. It will be held at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LN on 10 and 11 December 2010.

ANIMATEKA

Running from 6-12 December 2010 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the goal of Animateka is to showcase animation production from central and east European countries to both the Slovene public and foreign guests and animated film professionals invited to Ljubljana. The festival is establishing a space where authors, producers, journalists, students and other interested parties will meet and exchange their ideas and experiences.

THESSALONIKI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

3-12 December 2010, Thessaloniki, Greece

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival features the work of young film directors from all over the world, and has established Thessaloniki as a key meeting place between filmmakers and Greek audiences.

LES ARCS EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL

11-18 December 2010, Bourg Saint Maurice (Les Arcs), France

Located in the heart of the Alps, the Les Arcs ski resort and the town of Bourg Saint Maurice, will welcome the second edition of the Les Arcs European Film Festival in December.

The festival aims to develop the diversity of the European film industry, whilst simultaneously presenting the many talents that the continent has to offer. The festival proposes an ambitious programming, with more than 60 feature films originating from across Europe being screened in the six theatres around the resort.
