London company to produce new Coffin Joe film

(01/09/06) The UK-based film production company One Eyed Films, which specialises in Latin American films, has come on board as one of the producers of {em}Embodiment Of Evi{/em}l, a horror film to be directed by Brazilian cult figure Jose Mojica Marins (better known as {em}Coffin Joe{/em}), who has made more than 40 films. The other producers are Olhos de Cão, Gullane Filmes and Marins. The $2.1 m Portuguese-language project will shoot for six weeks in 2007 and sees {em}Coffin Joe{/em} being released from prison and going on a messianic crusade in the {em}favelas{/em} of Brazil.
