(19/11/08) – George Romero’s contribution to the horror genre is unsurpassable and unique. Combining verity cinema, leftist politics and zombies requires an original and uncompromising mind, and Romero rightly deserves the formidable reputation he has built along the decades he’s been active.
In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Romero’s seminal film Night of the Living Dead, Pocket Essentials has released a book on the author which all Romero zombies out there will love to devour since it is fleshy with biographical facts and textual analysis. Penned by Romero connoisseurs Curtis Owen and Tom Fallows, it is a fitting homage to a true American original.
Night of the Living Dead is available in its entirety on Google Video (see link on the left) due to some copyright mistake that goes back to its production time, which means it’s become an open source type of film. En-joy it.
