kamera.co.uk is pleased to be linking up with those nice people at Metro-Tartan to offer readers the chance win goodies marking the release of Alex Cox’s new film, Revengers Tragedy.

Based on Thomas Middleton’s play, this updated adaptation by one of British cinema’s true mavericks features a roll call of British thesps (Derek Jacobi, Christopher Eccleston, Eddie Izzard)in a Liverpool-based "anarchist revenge tragicomedy about the war between North and South England, set in 2011", according to Cox. The film is on release in the proverbial ‘selected cinemas’ this week in the UK. Oh, and the absence of the apostrophe in ‘Revengers’ is deliberate.

We have three sets of the CD soundtrack by

Chumbawumba, Thomas Middleton’s book, Five Plays, from which Revengers Tragedy is adapted, and the theatrical poster for the film signed by the great Mr Cox himself. To enter, just answer the following question:

Alex Cox’s 1987 film Straight to Hell featured which recently deceased punk-era rocker?

Send your entry to editor@kamera.co.uk. The competition closes at 12:00 noon on Monday 24 February and winners will be notified by email by Friday 28 February. Sorry, but this competition is only open to kamera.co.uk readers in the UK.
