Part of the terror induced by this film comes from its incidental
noise - whether it's pounding rain, ticking metronomes or chattering
typewriters, not only does it serve to set the sinister tone but
because it occasionally drowns out the dialogue, confusion palpably
adds to your fear. The gloomy chiaroscuro in which Seven
is filmed is its visual equivalent.
Freeman and Pitt both turn in commanding performances and Pitt's
on (and off) screen love is played by the beguiling Gwyneth Paltrow.
As Freeman's character predicts: 'There isn't going to be a happy
ending to this story.' You have been warned.

Great suspense/drama/horror/mystery. Starts as the usual veteran cop/rookie cop story, but enhanced by the leads (M. Freeman & B. Pitt), and director D. Fincher. Again, he manages to surprise you with a convincing, compelling story about a cold-blooded serial killer. A chilling story, with an unforgettable ending. Gets better with each viewing.
The only problem with the DVD: it could have used a nice documentary rather than a 6 minute EPK. Other than that, it's perfect.

What impresses me about seven is the way it's held up over the six years since it was released - it still defines a kind of brooding, atmospheric filmmaking which was ahead of its time

It's a better than average film and worth seeing a couple of times. But the best part of it is actually the opening credit sequence which is very well done indeed. That and Gwynney getting offed, how well-deserved is that?

Went to see this in the cinema when first released, and I still love it now.
This film is the first one I watched when I actually noticed the camera work, and thought "Thats what I want to do"
I love the fact that it has a heart, despite all the horror of life and everyday events.
The talk between Paltrow (yuk) and Freeman in the diner always gets me (hey, Im a girl...)

This is one of my favourite movies, it brings all sorts of themes together and mixes them into one great movie.
SEE IT!

I will confess. I didn't think Alien 3 was so bad, but I love the whole series. Anyway this is dark and gritty and disturbing its also a brilliant film and one sticks in your head. Morgan Freeman puts in his best, as per usual, to great affect. Pitt is suprisingly good, But Kevin Spacey really steals the show, with his, erm, Peformance. It really is a great film, and I have to say it's a top 10 place for me.

seven was an awsome film! i liked the killers motive of the people he chose why he chose them and the way he killed them it was so sweet! the ending is a little f*****up and it kinda pissed me off but over all it was a kick ass movie.

Seven is one of my favorite movies. Any movie that can intrigue me and make me think the way Seven did is definitely going to be one of my favorites. The overall mood and the theme/moral behind the story is magnificent. I recommend this to everyone!

What a film. It has to be held up with the greatest of respect, because some films are too good to be unappreciated, and when that happens we will all get our commupence. But Im rabbling. Basically this is a great movie from the very top of the film spectrum, and it's a gem. I give warning to them of the weak stoumach. It's not pretty.

I really liked Seven because of the atmoshpere it had. I thought had a great plot and i would wanna see it again. Thought Freeman's performance was 5 star worthy and was surprisingly impressed with Brad Pitt. Kevin Spacey was great but would have liked to see more of him.
Doesn't quite make my top 10

Fantastic stuff; amazing end; But i still got a better end; as cruel as the killer; as for "wrath" he indeed would have repented his whole life;
But anyways nice story and well played

Great build-up, disappointing ending. As soon as Kevin Spacey appeared covered in blood to give himself up, it was obvious where we were headed.
Sorry to to throw cold water on all previous comments - maybe I've just seen too many movies.
