Also known as Viet ’67, The Big Shave was Martin Scorsese’s third short film and in retrospect the image of at young man having a bloody shave in an immaculately white bathroom anticipates Scorcese’s iconic images that were to come back then, such as Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver (1976).
